Our History

Vision: The vision of seed of hope came to the Director and Founder of this organization while in the church. The voice said, go out and help my people who are suffering and crying for help.
At first it was not easy to understand. Seed of hope started at the home of Director Rev. Dr. J. B. Mwangi people old and young came in numbers for counseling help. It became very overwhelming because the number of people to attend to was increasing on daily basis.
After a lot of prayers, God gave us a piece of land which coasted the Director the savings of his family and they were left penniless. This land was dedicated to those who were suffering and needed counseling a thing that shocked the family members who could not understand the director’s vision.
In the year 2008 seed of hope started training youths in an open field because we cloud not afford to build a single room. Year 2009 we started building an office but it fell down due to poor workmanship of the constructor and we became a laughing stock for every person around us.

We were ridiculed from all directions and some working mate and friends run away from us. My family members could not understand what I was doing and friends started calling me Noah of our times because I was building a thing that could not be true, again I had no money to do that.
My comrades and friends kept off from me, but inside me the vision was as vivid and strong as ever before. I went on training youths in an open field and having many seminars where well-wishers could hire tents for us. After building small houses with a lot of strain in the year 2011 we starting at a counseling training center aiming at Teachers, Nurses, Parents at least to give them skills of counseling and helping the community that was losing a lot of people to drugs and substance abuse.
The training was attended by a good number of trainees and we picked well though with a lot of challenges of infrastructure. The small house we had was everything for us. The office, the class, the hall, the dining. We had a lot of challenges all sides.
